Company is for the serious dancer who is ready for a challenging, exciting, and very rewarding competitive dance experience! ECSOD Company dancers work together and individually to develop a strong technical base in ballet, jazz, and tap. Company classes are extremely professional and disciplined. Dancers are expected to be respectful and courteous in and out of the classroom, work hard and try their best, and most importantly, have fun!!
ECSOD Company has four different levels: Petite Line, Junior Line, Teen Line, and Senior Line. Dancers must audition for Company. From this audition, dancers will be placed according to level of ability and age into the appropriate line.
All students in ECSOD Company are required to take a Combo Class, which includes Ballet, Stretch and Strengthening, and both Jazz and Tap techniques. Petite and Junior Line Combo Class is 90 minutes. Teen and Senior Line Combo Class is 120 minutes.
Company dancers are also required to be enrolled in a 50 minute Small Group Jazz Class and a 50 minute Ballet Choreography Class.
Beyond these required classes, Company dancers also have the option to join a number of Large Group classes including Contemporary Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Tap, and Pointe.
