The Eau Claire School of Dance provides professional, quality dance instruction for children, young adults and adults. A variety of classes are offered to meet each dancers needs. We take great pride in our unique style of dance, training techniques, and implementing each dancer with strong core values. We recognize each dancer as an individual and focus on improving their natural talents and abilities in a fun, encouraging and supportive atmosphere. The curriculum is carefully planned to help guide each student and give each dancer the best opportunity to achieve. Classes are run to help build self esteem, learn about the art of dance, and most of all to have FUN! We are very proud of the instruction we provide and strongly believe you will feel the same.
The Eau Claire School of Dance ultimately outstands and separates from other dance studios in the area.
The Eau Claire School of Dance specializes in smaller class which provides students with more personal attention and hands on instruction. All classes with dancers under the age of 7 will have a teacher and an assistant teacher in class. This allows each dancer to learn, grow, and excel in class. We have a yearly recital in May which each dancer has the opportunity to participate. The Eau Claire School of Dance has three dance studios running classes from 3:00 into the evening Monday through Friday. Day classes are also available.
We also have an expanding studio in CHIPPEWA FALLS! All class styles will be available in the Fall!
The Eau Claire School of Dance is owned and under the direction of Stephanie Houdek-Kling. She has been teaching studio classes for more than 20 years and has taught in Paris, London and all across the United States. Her choreography has earned top honors at numerous highly regarded competitions around the country. Stephanie has furthered her training in New York City yearly, as well as attending conventions and classes throughout the United States to stay up to date on the latest dance trends.
The ECSOD is also under the direction of Miki Hegg. She has been teaching and assisting classes for over 7 years. Miki studied dance at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she trained under countless dance professionals from various prestigious dance companies around the world including The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The American Contemporary Ballet Company, and The Limón Dance Company. She has also danced under the direction of world renowned choreographers including Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, Cris Judd, and Laurieann Gibson. Miki continues to further her dance education by attending various conventions and classes around the United States.
